Seeing the name Women's Murder Club: Games of Passion made me immediately want to rush out and form my own team of homicidal ladies or at least purchase the game. Realising that the "Murder Club" in question is in fact a team of sassy women dedicated to solving murders rather than perpetrating them came as quite the disappointment.
Buying from Shop To gives a saving of just over £5 compared to the next best price of £14.91 from Asda Entertainment.
Feisty femmes, Lindsay, Claire and Cindy have a slightly more unusual favourite female bonding activity than the usual movie & makeover nights; they love nothing more than pooling their myriad skills and teaming up to solve murders! When a series of apparently unconnected murders begin to occur, it's up to the gang to work out the missing link and crack the case, all through the tied and tested method of, you guessed it, mini-gaming.
While I have not had the dubious pleasure of playing this game myself, I feel confident in saying that unless you are already totally sold on the concept, Games of Passion is best avoided. The critical scores are certainly nothing to shout about and, judging by the customer ratings it has received on Amazon, it is far too short and generally a bit of a flop.
One of the few positive reviews on Amazon recommended the game on account of its being "relaxing"—pah! From a game with the words "murder" and "passion" in the title, the last thing I want is a gentle bout of relaxation, how about some nailbiting tension, frenzied bloodlust and intense racy action?!
