Jeremy Soule Confirmed As Composer For Everquest Next

There should be much bigger news to emerge over the next 24 hours, but during the opening keynote presentation for SOE Live in Las Vegas last night, it was announced that Jeremy Soule will be handling the soundtrack to the upcoming MMORPG Everquest Next.

A quick sample of the track has been uploaded to Youtube, but both studio head John Smedley and Soule himself were quick to point out that it the track heard was in no way finished. We’ve got an embed of the sample for you below.

Everquest Next will be unveiled to the public for the first time at 8pm BST this evening, and if you can even watch the event happen live by heading over to the official Twitch channel here. At the moment, all we know is that EQN will be the “largest sandbox ever made”, will use the Forgelight engine from PlanetSide 2, and will utilize something called Storybricks to help create “personalized stories.” We’ll see if SOE can deliver the goods later this evening.

What I want to know is whether it is coming to PS4.
