Jet Set Radio HD Confirmed For Summer Release

After teasing us mercilessly last week, SEGA has officially confirmed that cult Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio will indeed be making a triumphant return to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this summer. Not only will the original game's sensational mix of platforming, skating and exploration make a welcome comeback, but the eye-popping cell shaded visuals will apparently be remastered into full HD. Well, in terms of aspect ratio at the very least.

SEGA are also holding a graffiti competition that will let a few lucky artists win some exclusive goodies as well as having their art featured in the game.

We've got some screenies below, and as JSR fans to a man, we couldn't be more excited.

Really, really looking forward to this...can't believe a sequel hasn't been made either, though hopefully if this sells well it may encourage them to get on with it.

You bet, this is definitely cause for excitement. Would you stop playing with that radio, Lord? I'm trying to get to sleep!

However, a sequel did get made - Jet Set Radio Future for the original Xbox. It's a blinding game and well worth tracking down since it's backwards-compatible with the Xbox 360.
