Journey Breaks US PSN Sales Records

Thatgamecompany has proudly announced that Journey is the fastest-selling PSN game of all time, trouncing both first and third party titles in its wake. And, of course, demonstrating once again that innovation can be commercially successful.

"Thanks to you, Journey has officially broken PlayStation Network and PlayStation Store sales records, surpassing all first and third-party games to become the fastest-selling game ever released in the SCEA region on the PlayStation Network," gushed director Jenova Chen on the PlayStation blog. "We have received more letters from fans in the two weeks since Journey's launch than we did for Flower over the past three years!"

We know that a few of our readers have been wondering how well Journey is selling compared to traditional retail. While Chen was unwilling to talk numbers, I'd reckon it's probably doing pretty well. In case you haven't already bought it, we gave this experimental, innovative gem full marks in our Journey review.

I am pretty sure not dude.

Though one of the best bits about this is the online play, so I would hold off till you have the internet.

How come no net? That's like not owning a phone or kidneys or something nowadays!

well it was a pretty ropey service in my area, it stopped working altogether the other day and hasn't come back on.

My only option is a 3G solution I think, but I'm not sure they best option here as I will need to spread it across multiple devices pc's,ps3,xbox,etc not sure how to do that (I guess if my Pc is on with a dongle in it and ICS enable it should work across the router?)but I'm also aware that 3G has very limited download monthly data allowance/rates (i'd rather PAUG, don't want another contract)like 15 month for 3gb is not great. Tethering my phone over my data limit is £5 per 250 mb!!?

yeah i stood open mouthed at a guy who was texting away on his Nokia 3310 in the pub the other day. It's like that I know lol

And which hamlet do you live in?

(you can get 3G routers, which act like an ADSL modem, but not cheap at all!)

I got a 02 dongle at weekend which included 2gb allowance once i use that i'll switch to a giffagaff gigabag i think. Signal good and speed much better than landline (WTF?!) only downside is the data-limits and atm i can't connect to steam. It wont log-in?! google hasn't yielded any solutions yet. That and i haven't managed to get it to share the connection with my other devices but i'm sure that must be possible. Now can cancel my BT line too as I dont use it for anything except the BB.
