Keiji Inafune Developing Penguin Pirate Title For 3DS

Confused? So are we. Inafune is nothing if not outspoken, most recently slamming the blame culture that he perceives exists when Eastern and Western developers start working together. However, the ex-Capcom man has announce his first full game since leaving the Japanese giant, we're not counting Dr. Momo's Island, and it is to a 3DS game named Kai-oh.

Andriasang reports that the title translates from kanji to mean 'Sea God' and will be an action RPG that apparently has a piratical theme...but sees you playing as a penguin. It looks like it'll be out in Japan at least in 2012.

The game is being developed in conjunction with Marvelous AQL -  a new company formed from Harvest Moon developers Marvelous Entertainment, AQ Interactive and Liveware - and that the announcement was made at a press conference called to celebrate the triple merger.
