...Dr Momo's Island
It's been nearly six months since Keiji Inafune became disillusioned with triple-A development and left his position at Capcom. The creator of Mega-Man and Dead Rising has been keeping quiet since then... until now. In a press conference yesterday, the veteran producer revealed that his first title since the spl will be a free iOS and Android App called Dr. Momo's Island.
The premise is simple. Players assume the role of a mad scientist (the titular Dr. Momo) who loves... cute things... and... combines cute animals together to make even cuter animals. Fair enough. Inafune is just the latest ex-AAA veteran to blaze a trail into the mobile scene, hot on the heels of American McGee and John Romero. [4Gamer via Andriasang]
Inafune is famous for saying that "Japanese gaming is dead." Will apps save it, Keiji?
