Killzone: Mercenary Dev Diary Promises "The Best-Looking Game On Vita"

Sony released a new developer diary for Killzone: Mercenary over the weekend, which offers plenty of gameplay footage alongside some big promises. Creative director Tom Jones (no, not that Tom Jones) reckons that the handheld shooter will easily become "the best-looking game on Vita," and show players "a different side to the war." Ruthless covert missions will run in parallel to the events of Killzone 2, offering a new perspective on some familiar events.

We're rather excited to see how Mercenary turns out, since the Vita could definitely use a quality FPS after Resistance: Burning Skies and Black Ops Declassified failed to impress.

September 17th? We'll have to keep regularly charging up our Vita for ages then to avoid the battery from bleeding out. Looking pretty damn good though.
