For all you Xbox 360 users out there who've been feeling left out of the motion sensitive gaming scene that the Wii's dominated for the last few years, I've brought you a little roundup of pre-order prices for Kinect so you can get prepared for its release in November.
The Hut's deal of £119.93 is the best of the bunch, which probably has something to do with the fact that they decided to drop their price from £129.99 after doing a little bit of market research on potential customers. Dropping in behind them by a couple of pence is Zavvi who are letting you get your hands on the new peripheral for £119.95. Then there's a bit more of a price gap before you get to ShopTo's offer of £124.86, and finally the majority of other retailers are hovering around the £129 mark.

With Kinect you won't have to touch a controller as the device supports full body 3D motion capture, facial recognition, and even voice recognition, which allows you to control your characters movements through your own gestures and/or issue voice commands in order to get things done in the virtual environments that support the new technology. It's also been claimed that the intriguing piece of kit can track up to six players with two of those being active, and at certain distances is accurate enough to even capture the movement of individual fingers!
Personally, I'm still a bit wary as to what to expect from Kinect and whether or not it'll be used wisely or turn into a bit of a gimmicky fad like the majority of titles on the Wii. As a result, I'll be waiting to see exactly how it handles first before I part with any of my money, especially since the price tag is over the £100 mark.
