It's official: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is coming to the UK this Autumn, complete with overhauled visuals and a seriously stupid title.
"Lots of you have been asking," reads the latest missive from Square Enix, "and we’ve been anxious to tell ya, so without further delay, it’s our great pleasure to announce the North American release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX! This collection contains the classic original game redone in HD along with the immediate continuation of Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and HD enhanced cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days!"
The original game isn't just the standard edition, rather, it's the Kingdom Hearts Final Mix mode that was previously only available in Japan. This includes additional weapons, enemies, skills and cutscenes.
Is this revamped compilation just the vanguard for a full sequel? On PS4, perhaps? Rampant speculation aside, we'd love to see Kingdom Hearts 3 wrap things up and bring that glutted storyline to a close, while giving us more deep action RPG gameplay and surprising cameos.
