Decent Wii Games can seem as hard to find as a dratini in a pond full of Magikarp but Little King's Story is a sadly oft-overlooked gem that is well worth adding to your collection, especially now it is available for such a bargain price.
As part of The Hut's daily deal, it's on offer for just £9.73. This gives you a five pound saving against the next best price; £14.99 from Game.
Little King's Story stars a shy boy named Corobo who lives in a peaceful country village who stumbles upon a crown while playing in the nearby forest. With the crown on his head, Corobo is suddenly able to control those around him and when he returns to his village, the residents are all too happy to hail him as their king. With his new found power and influence, Corobo sets around transforming his sleepy little hamlet into a kingdom to be proud of. He may be bombarded with a whole heap of mundane requests but all it takes is a wave of his sceptre and a whole gaggle of adoring subjects will be ready and willing to do King Corobo's bidding.
It may look like a title for kiddie's but the title is surprisingly mature; punctuated with epic, demanding boss battles and mature references to anything from Captain Beefheart to Nietzsche. It is also far more deep that a first glance would suggest - after a few hours of play the chances are you will find yourself irresistably drawn in to Corobo's colourful and humorous world. The graphics are charming and you will find plenty here to make you smile. Little King's Story is a welcome addition to any Wii collection and, with 2010's horizon looking somewhat bare for Nintendo fans, this price drop couldn't have come at a better time.
