Hideo Kojima has some new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain information to share with us at E3, which he's busy teasing on Twitter today. According to the esteemed designer, we can expect a new trailer that dwells on storyline and setting rather than explosions and fast cuts... and re-introduces the X-ray cure mechanic from MGS3?
"Trailers these days has lots of explosion, crash, destruction, and fall," Kojima moans. "I intentionally avoid those elements in my next trailer. Its time consuming since there's lots of game play scenes in the next trailer as it involves too much work besides editing but recording+."
A new image, posted above, also has us scratching our heads. Apparently it's a screenshot of the very same trailer, showing some X-Ray footage and a cylindrical object that looks like a silencer. As I recall, Metal Gear Solid 3's cure screen featured an X-ray that you could pan over Naked Snake (and EVA in a humorous secret), so perhaps this system is set to return?
Either way, Kojima will reveal all when he's good and ready. We wouldn't have it any other way.
