Konami Will "Dissolve" Hudson Soft In March

Veteran Japanese studio Hudson Soft, who brought us Bomberman, Bloody Roar, Mario Party, Bonk's Adventure and other classic franchises throughout their 33 year history, will soon be no more. Konami has confirmed that the studio will be formally dissolved on March 1st, with their assets and staff being absorbed into Konami Digital Entertainment.

The move, which was apparently approved by Hudson board members earlier this month, was probably taken since Hudson haven't produced anything particularly noteworthy in recent years, but we'll still be sad to see them go. [Thanks, Andriasang]
