Holy multicoloured building blocks Batman! The Caped Crusader and, unfortunately, The Boy Wonder have been added to the list of characters that have undergone the transition into the world of Lego in this amusing romp through Gotham City.
Game are parting with copies on the Xbox 360 for £4.99, which'll make you a saving of exactly £6.50 on the next best deal of £11.49 coming in from Cool Shop UK.
You can expect the usual blend of platform action, breaking enemies apart, numerous appearances from established figures in the Batman series, and some comedy from the cutscenes that all come with the Lego treatment. What's different about this instalment is the fact that the story hasn't been taken directly from any of the films, although numerous villains breaking out of Arkham Asylum which Batman then has to stop isn't a plot that'll surprise many fans.
As with previous games that fall under the Lego banner, you've got a massive range of playable heroes and villains to choose from, and more can be unlocked by playing through the game. You'll also be able to mix things up a little bit by changing the costumes of your masked avengers or colourful crime lords.
Like all the Lego games, if you're playing them with a friend you'll be provided with a fantastic co-op experience, unfortunately playing by yourself isn't anywhere near as enjoyable and you'll find yourself quickly reaching for something else, maybe in the form of Arkham Asylum which is a vastly superior addition to the Batman universe.
