Whatever your fandom, it seems that there is a Lego version just waiting to happen, which is great news if you are a fan of these tongue-in-cheek, affectionate plastic-block homages. Classic superhero series Batman was an obvious candidate for a Leg-over, as I like to call them, and thus a game was born.
The Game Collection are currently offering the bundle pack of Lego Batman and off-road quad bike racer, Pure for just £9.90. I have found hide nor hair of any other retailer who even has this special pack in stock at all, but this price certainly compares very favourably with purchasing the two titles separately. The best price I could find for Lego Batman by itself is £12.73 from The Hut and if you wish to buy Pure alone then you are looking at paying at least £12.45 (from Amazon).
Personally, I am having trouble fathoming the thought process that led to these two titles being bundle bed-fellows but considering the fact that you can get the two games for less than the price of one by itself, it seems a good opportunity to try out a game you might never otherwise have considered.
Lego Batman is sadly not a patch on its Star Wars counterparts and has scored mediocre to decent-but-nothing-special reviews virtually all-round. However it is still a very fun game to play, particularly if you have a friend to share the Co-op mode with. It's especially good for Batman fans as there are a whole host of characters included and you can have a whale of a time playing as the villains.
Pure fared better in the reviews and offers intense racing action on a great variety of tracks. The environments are fantastic and there's plenty of enjoyment to be had in learning to pull off all the tricks.
