LEGO City: Undercover Trailer Is Rib-Ticklingly Good

You've got to love Traveller's Tales. For years they've taken massive entertainment licenses and delivered games that marry slapstick comedy with gloriously geeky franchise in-jokes. We might have wondered how their flair for the comedic would work in an original IP, and if their Fusion studio could deliver as reliably as their main outfit.

Well from the looks of things, we needn't worry. The latest trailer for LEGO City Undercover has had us in stitches all morning.

What a waste this is only on the Wii U, would of made them a packet had it been a cross platform game

I'm sure it'll have also made them a packet by being an exclusive. I don't know for certain how these things work but I'd imagine Nintendo are paying them a ridiculous amount of money for the exclusivity.
(They're unlikely to make a game and only release it on one platform unless there's a big incentive to do so - they know how to make money, Warner Bros...)

Worth it, too, from Nintendo's point of view. I'm gutted that I won't get to play this. I love the Lego games, and this one looks great fun. If it entices people to buy the console* then it's money well invested by Nintendo.

*It probably won't, alone, but if there's a number of exclusives then they will sell a platform. Four or five top notch exclusives and I might be tempted.
