Lego and Traveller's Tales have spent the last few years cashing in on childhood nostalgia for our favourite films. Star Wars, Batman and Indiana Jones have been remastered into charming little platformers that are light on cerebral gameplay but heavy on laughs. Watching Lego versions of classic characters mime out classic scenes is as much fun as beating Short Round or Jar Jar into little blocky pieces!
Lego Indiana Jones 2 was well received by critics and fans alike, and has now been reduced to £17.99 for the three major platforms at HMV. This is a saving of over £9 on the Xbox 360 (compared to Amazon, their nearest rival) and a clear fiver less than the nearest competitors for the Wii and PS3.

Lego Indiana Jones 2 is generally reckoned to be the finest game in the Lego series, and I'm inclined to agree. It improves on the original by revamping the AI, puzzle solving and problematic platforming segments- but it's major selling point is that it takes the Crystal Skull and rips the piss out of it. The film was completely ridiculous, and the anarchic Brits at Traveller's Tales have turned it into the tongue-in-cheek hilarious B-movie that it was born to be!
Here's hoping for Lego Aliens vs. Predator as Traveller's Games next project!
