Loosely related - any info on whether there any difference between current and next gen console versions of this game?
I like the Lego games and I like Marvel, so am keen to play this - but I see it's £30 on current gen and £40 on next gen. I ain't paying the extra tenner if the two versions are identical (as I suspect they are).
As far as I know, the two versions are feature-identical, but the next-gen version looks more robust, greater draw distance and less pop-in, and the city is more densely populated. We got hands-on with the current-gen version the other day and it's perfectly fine. The differences aren't so noticeable in the bespoke areas, but in the open world there's a clear quality distinction.
Thanks Matt.
If I see the xb1 version at a reasonable price I'll go for it, but will be perfectly happy with the xb360 version otherwise, then.
yeah next gen and PC are going to look best. However the Wii U version interests me, is there going to be a massive use of the touchpad or is it just a fairly straightforward port? Once I know I'll buy but right now torn between PC and Wii U because Lego City was phenomenal and I hate lego games but the kids love them!
I don't think it'll be a bespoke experience like LEGO City.
