Lego Rock Band £9.95 @ Zavvi [Wii Games]

If you want a bit of funky Rock Band action combined with some light-hearted humour and childhood nostalgia, then you'll definitely enjoy Lego Rock Band.

Zavvi are currently selling copies of the game for £9.95, which is almost £3 cheaper than the next best offer of £12.73 coming in from The Hut.

The game plays exactly like regular Rock Band, the only difference is that the characters and environments are constructed from the geometrically distinctive building blocks of the Lego world, and just like they did with the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises they've added a nice dash of comedy to the proceedings.

You'll be able to form a characteristic four piece band consisting of lead guitar, bass guitar, vocals, and drums, utilising the wide range of musical controllers that are on the market. As with pretty much every music title out there, you'll be able to sit back and relax whilst playing the single player, but having a few friends round to join in with the action is the thing that'll keep you coming back to the game time and time again. However, I've got to warn you that it's only got local multiplayer, and the lack of an online multiplayer really does limit the game somewhat.

The set list is comprised of approximately 45 tracks, ranging from classics including 'We Will Rock You' to modern hits like 'Valerie', and personally I'd fork out a bit of money just to be able to rock out to the Ghostbusters theme tune, which is also present in the game.

Now Lego Rock Band's under £10 you should easily be able to overlook the relatively short list of songs and lack of online multiplayer, and pick up this friendly little romp into the music world, which certainly doesn't take itself too seriously.

THanks SPurs. Apologies for the mix up, corrected the title to say "Wii."
