GUILD-01 Games On Sale Until May 30th
Level-5 have announced that they'll be publishing three more left-field downloadable games on the 3DS eShop from big-name developers. From atmospheric horror to insane tank-on-insect action, there's certainly going to be plenty of variety on show for "GUILD02."
THE STARSHIP DAMREY is an adventure/horror/suspense game designed by three legendary Japanese developers credited as the pioneers of visual novels. Players awaken to discover that they are trapped in a Cold Sleep capsule aboard the titular Starship Damrey, with no memory of who they are or how they got there. With no tutorials, explanations, or hints provided, the game focuses on exploration, self-discovery and experimentation as an integral part of the experience.
"An inconceivable truth awaits those willing to discover it."
BUGS vs. TANKS! ought to be a fairly obvious pitch. Players command a World War II panzer squad that has been shrunk to the size of an ant, and fight off the ravenous insects in customisable war machines. Considering that it hails from Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man and Dead Rising, it ought to be worth a punt.
ATTACK OF THE FRIDAY MONSTERS! A TOKYO TALE is perhaps the most esoteric of the three, in that it's billed as a "Tokyo Life Simulation." Players assume the role of a young boy named Sohta who lives in a tranquil ordinary Japanese town, save that giant monsters from 1970s TV shows come to life every Friday afternoon. As a "nostalgic tale" rather than a hectic shooter, this should be an intriguingly offbeat proposition.
The three titles from GUILD01 - Liberation Maiden, Aero Porter and Crimson Shroud - will receive a 50% discount on the eShop until May 30th. Exact dating and pricing for GUILD02 are coming soon.
