There might be a bunch of creative minds at Irrational, but Ken Levine has asserted that at the end of the day someone needs to sign off on the major decisions, and that man is him.
'This is my game,' said Levine. 'And I love the fact that we sit down and chat with each other [Levine and other game devs outside of Irrational], but at the end of the day ... this thing's gotta be my decision.'
Levine likened his role to that of an 'editor of a magazine ... but I'm also a writer for the magazine', suggesting that he preferred to talk of 'editorship' rather than be termed an auteur as the latter 'sounds like you do everything'. [Joystiq]
