First LocoCycle Trailer Is Twisted, Full-On
Twisted Pixel has released the first proper gameplay trailer for LocoCycle, their next project that was cruelly teased at E3 2012 (to make room for Usher or something). You'll witness blsiteringly fast vehicular combat featuring a transforming robotic motorbike (I.R.I.S.) skilled in melee combat, dragging its hapless rider along the road behind.

I.R.I.S. is a two-time Valedictorian of the illustrious Big Arms Academy’s School of Assassination, skilled in 40 forms of unarmed combat and a Sensei in Jiu-jitsu, Aikido, Krav Maga and Jeet Kune Do. She's also a motorcycle. Check it out below.

LocoCycle is expected this year on XBLA.

The fact the rider is constantly being dragged annoys me for some reason. Maybe it's because it throws off the symmetry? Something doesn't sit right (no pun intended).

Yeah, it takes some getting used to - I assume that Twisted Pixel want to emphasize that IRIS is the star of the show, not the unnecessary rider (who's probably just there to camouflage her when not on a mission). Plus, it's a Twisted Pixel game. They're usually bonkers. ;)

It seems from feedback that a lot of people aren't happy with the guy being dragged along too. There were a lot of thumbs down on the youtube vid and some wondering if it's a Kinect game.

I quite like the guy there, reminds me of a glitch I had in Midnight Club LA where the rider fell off and never came back, so I was just riding the bike along on it's own.

It looks stupid and I imagine that some jobsworth will ban it as it encourages people to tie there shoelaces to motorbikes and endanger themselves and other road users IRL.

It looks stupid...

This.

Looks to me like they made the bike game and someone asked where the rider is, so some smartarse jokingly added the ragdoll attached by one foot - then forgot to take it back out before the pressers/trailers.
