Logitech Driving Force GT - Wheel, Pedals & Gear Shift Lever Set £58.75 @ Dabs.com/BT Shop [PS2 & PS3]

Logitech are without doubt the leading manufacturer when it comes to steering wheel systems. But unfortunately for anyone whose wallet is feeling a little bit light after the Christmas holidays, getting your hands on one of those superb G25 racing wheels is going to cost you a pretty hefty £100 (at least). So, if you simply can’t justify forking out a ton of your hard earned money to indulge your love of virtual motorsports, the Logitech Driving Force GT is a much more economical alternative which, according to a few Amazon customer reviews, isn’t all that far behind the legendary G25.

You can currently get hold of one of these Logitech Driving Force GTs, which consists of a Wheel, Pedals & Gear Shift Lever Set, for £58.75 from either Dabs.com or BT Shop. Both sites have the cheapest price for a brand new system.

Although this steering wheel is an official product of Gran Turismo, it will adapt to pretty much any racing game in your collection. Force feedback is one thing which customers cited for particular praise, especially with games like Dirt 2 where the aggressive rumble  conveys the bumpy terrain with a great sense of realism. The pedals also have good levels of resistance, although unfortunately, this system has a sequential gear changer and lacks a clutch.

However, unless you’re prepared to keep praying for the G25 to drop below £100 sometime this decade,  you should consider getting yourself a Driving Force GT as it’s definitely a worthy substitute.

Nice deal, can you tell me anywhere that's doing the G25 for around £100 anymore though? I've been trying to get one for a while with no luck.

Hi Mark,

I did see the G25 going for £104.99 at Okobe.co.uk:

But unfortunately they appear to be sold out at the moment. The next best deal I can see after that comes in at £119.97 from Dixons.

Cheers, M

Thanks for the reply M.

Dixons are out of stock too, most places seem to be. I think the G25 has been discontinued and is being replaced by the G27. I think I'll go for the DFGT for now.

Thanks again
