Grasshopper Manufacture's Lollipop Chainsaw has been picked up for publication and distribution outside of Japan. Warner Bros. Interactive will be releasing the latest quirky slice of gaming from the mind of Suda51 in 2012, having announced a new partnership with Lollipop's Japanese publisher, Kadokawa Games.
'Our exciting partnership with Kadokawa Games allows us to try something new by bringing a very unique game like Lollipop Chainsaw to Western markets,' said WBIE President, Martin Tremblay. 'Grasshopper Manufacture's games have shown tremendous success with gamers around the globe and we are delighted to expand our portfolio of Japanese-developed games.'
Lollipop Chainsaw sees cheerleader and 'killer zombie hunter' Juliet Starling fighting to uncover the reasons behind a zombie epidemic, armed with a chainsaw and some pretty acrobatic moves. Expect it to be pretty over the top.
Let's just hope that this game gets a marketing budget...unlike Grasshopper's last game.
