LucasArts Developing "Aerial Combat Title"

New Rogue Squadron? X-Wing? We Have To Know!

Matt bemoaned LucastArts' distinct lack of new and interesting titles in today's Blast From The Past, but a new job listing for a senior gameplay engineer seems to suggest that the lurching studio will be developing an "aerial combat title."

According to the requirements, "experience with flight sims, aerial shooters, and especially space-based shooters" will be a plus.

An Aerial Combat Title. Like... Rogue Squadron? A reboot of the X-Wing franchise? Aspects of the unfinished Star Wars Battleground III? Something to do with the prequel trilogy that will tarnish yet more of our precious Star Wars and LucasArts memories? You'd better believe that we'll be keeping a close eye on this one. Drop us a line with your predictions!

Wouldn't surprise me if it was tie-in for Lucas' upcoming Red Tails: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpA6TC0T_Lw
