Mann Vs Machine Announced For Team Fortress 2

Co-op Horde Mode Coming Tomorrow

The ARG had already caught the attention of the gaming community, but this morning we finally got an answer to the recent influx of clues. Valve have announced that a new co-op horde mode, named “Mann Vs Machine”, is to be added to Team Fortress 2 on Steam from tomorrow. The news was accompanied by a new trailer, which gives us a first look at the new mechanical foes, and you can see it for yourself after the jump.

The official website will be unlocking new information over the next couple of days, with the "Merc" and "Bounty" tab currently unavailable, but we can confirm that players will be facing off against waves of increasingly difficult enemies, earning upgrades for their abilities and weapons. We do know that the robot opponents will be based on the existing classes in the game, with the exception of one yet-to-be-revealed behemoth that towers over the soldiers at the end of the trailer. It's got tracks, and looks like bad news. That's all we've got right now.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further news to emerge on the new mode as we get it.
