The PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 contains all the DLC that Xbox 360 owners had to buy with their hard-earned cash, but the latest patch has also delivered tantalising new info about a future DLC pack. What is Arrival... and more worryingly, what is 'The Ultimate Sacrifice?"
An eagle-eyed BioWare forum member discovered three new trophies after downloading the new Mass Effect PS3 patch, which seem to provide the foundations for a DLC pack entitled Arrival. One of the achievements seems to suggest that the content will feature a stealthy rescue mission, as well as a certain mysterious Dr. Kenson who has previously popped up on the Cerberus News Feed with some observations about the Reapers. The three trophies suggest that it will probably represent a budget offering (as smaller BioWare DLC packs command three achievements as opposed to five)- but at this stage, that's all I can tell you. Okay, it's high time for some spoileriffic conjecture. The title could well refer to the imminent arrival of the Reapers to the Milky Way, and could tie the events of Mass Effect 2 in with the siege of London (seen in the recent Mass Effect 3 trailers). With one of the trophies listed as "The Ultimate Sacrifice," it's likely that someone else is going to die. Surely we've doomed enough team mates already?
Considering that BioWare have a thing for Tuesday announcements, it's more than likely that we'll get official confirmation on the morrow.
