Mass Effect 3 ending discussion - what do you make of it?

So, the trilogy has come to an end.

But... not everyone is particularly happy with the way it did. Putting it mildly.

What did you make of Mass Effect 3's endgame and resolution?

Really enjoyed the gameplay and story...Till the end, makes you feel like you played 1-3 for nothing to just have no happy ending. Im not demanding a rewrite but would love a dlc or something to give a happier ending. I mean look at it this way, you go through all that trouble to build a army and kick reaper ass for what only 3 choices and majority of the time you die. It has a good romance story line and to die at the end with no children or anything kinda is a low blow to gaming fans. Shepard MUST survive to fight or have a child to take his place! Bad way to end a trilogy. Kinda like Halo, they killed it without master chief.

The ending is just a slap in the face to an otherwise fantastic third game, people are not upset because its not a happy ending, they are upset because it really makes no sense, there are plot holes galore, they ignore there own story canon.

And WTF is joker, the Normandy and Sheps team doing flying through the relay network when it is exploding? the team was meant to be on earth and joker is meant to be flying the normandy in the battle above earth with the rest of the Alliance fleet.

It makes no sense!
