The release of BioWare's third instalment in its action-RPG space opera - Mass Effect 3 - has been pushed back to the first quarter of 2012. Making the announcement on the game's Facebook page, Executive Producer Casey Hudson had this to say:
'Mass Effect 3 will be released in the first three months of 2012. The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest and best game in the series, ensuring that it exceeds everyone’s expectations.'
I'm going to be honest, quite frankly we're thrilled by this news. It's no secret that the rush-job that was Dragon Age II made us a little nervous about seeing Commander Shepard again so soon. If this news has made you shed a few tears, though, fret not. Put yesterday's deluge of screenshots in your face and remember you'll still be able to play Skyrim over the Christmas break.
