The Mass Effect Trilogy Edition will include different DLC packs depending on which platform you purchase it on. Good news for PC players, in that you'll get the first Mass Effect's (terrible) DLC alongside a Cerberus pass for Mass Effect 2 and online access to Mass Effect 3 - but bad news for Xbox 360 owners in that you'll have to buy Pinnacle Station and Bring Down The Sky separately. The PS3 version is still up in the air, despite more confirmation that the original Mass Effect will be hitting US PSN as a standalone download.
However, EA still isn't willing to confirm if and when the trilogy edition is headed to Europe.
Here are the details, directly from EA:
- PC: Mass Effect will include Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station on disk. For Mass Effect 2, Cerberus Network will be included which features Zaeed - The Price of Revenge, The Firewalker Pack, Cerberus Assault Gear, Arc Projector heavy weapon, and Normandy Crash site mission. For Mass Effect 3, Online Pass will be included granting players access to co-op multiplayer.
- Xbox 360: Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station are not included with Mass Effect, however they are available as stand-alone downloads through Xbox LIVE. For Mass Effect 2, Cerberus Network will be included and Online Pass will be included for Mass Effect 3.
- PS3: Information on PlayStation 3 DLC will be available soon.
The Mass Effect Trilogy Edition is slated for a November 7th launch in the US, but there's no word of a European release as yet.
