Max Payne 3 Comic Series Announced

Will Be Free Online, Limited Print Run Confirmed

Max Payne 3 will be receiving a three-part graphic novel "in the next few weeks," penned by Rockstar producer Dan Houser and Remedy's Sam Lake.

Written by Dan Houser and Sam Lake (who wrote and scripted the original Max Payne), and featuring cover art from Greg Horn and pencils/inks by Fernando Blanco, the original Max Payne 3 comic series will delve into Max's disturbed past - "exploring the events that occurred in and around both Max Payne and Max Payne 2, leading up to Max Payne 3 while also shedding new light on Max's early years." Marvel Custom Solutions will act as producers.

As mentioned, the Max Payne 3 comics will be free to read, but Rockstar has also announced a limited physical print run. Details will doubtlessly be forthcoming.

Issue #1: "After the Fall" will release "in the next few weeks" for free via the Rockstar Newswire, the Max Payne 3 Official Site and additional digital comic channels.

It should really be like Sin City but I bet it wont be anywhere close, seeing as how Rockstar hate noir.
