Despite a presumably torrid development, it seems like Max Payne 3 is finally back on-course. And with E3 around the corner, Rockstar is kicking the hype-machine into gear, by unloading no less than ten screenshots on Friday - I know, we're a little late; blame the sun and sangria. Showcasing a bald and not-so-bald Max - we'll be dipping back and forth into Max's sordid past - in a variety of locations, Max Payne 3 promises to be as bloody and bullet-ridden as you'd expect.
Jon dropped the deets on the most recent Max Payne 3 preview earlier this month, with Edge Magazine given an exclusive preview of the game and revealing its time-hopping, multi-era and location narrative. Mired in Brazil in the midst of a bitter war with kidnappers, Max is forced to dive back and forth into his past, probably to uncover the details of his current predicament.
And in these new screenshots, we saw a older, balder Max sporting a colorful Hawaiian shirt and shotgun, overlooking the sprawl of a Sao Paolo slum. This is contrasted with images of the younger Max we all recognise from Remedy's last-gen efforts, staring in melancholy stupor in a devastated bedroom. Further screenshots show Max engaged in many a firefight, either blind-firing from doorways or leaping in trademark bullet-time fashion.
