MCV Awards: Activision & Skylanders Win Big

EA, ShopTo & Ubi Also Honoured

The MCV awards are the yin to the BAFTAs' yang, focusing on marketing and trade rather than excellence in game design. Activision won top honours this year with the prestigious Grand Prix award - and scooped up multiple others for New Game Brand, Marketing and Digital Retail Innovation (thanks to Skylanders). EA was declared best publisher, while also being congratulated for Battlefield 3's hype campaign. Yes, that is how the MCV awards work.
