Move Support Confirmed For MiB 3 Tie-In
Men In Black: Alien Crisis has been dated for May 25th on PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 in order to tie into the release of the (slightly worrying) Men In Black III. It's a cheeky spin-off to be sure, but Activision has decided to create an original storyline featuring entirely new characters. Expect "exciting, realistic MiB agent movements," apparently.
PlayStation Move support has been confirmed for the PS3 version, as has cooperative multiplayer of both local and online varieties. We've got more details below.
Players will assume the role of Peter Delacoeur, a MiB Agent in training, assigned to ferret out hostile aliens who are planning to destroy planet Earth. With hidden surveillance and stealthy guards on the prowl, players must acquire alien intelligence in order to stop their nefarious plan. According to the press release blurb, Men In Black: Alien Crisis "brings exciting, realistic MiB Agent movements as players shoot, and dodge their way through action-packed levels," which sounds about right. Additionally, all platforms feature two-player split-screen gameplay and four-person “hot-seat” competitive action.
All versions of the game are compatible with the Top Shot Elite peripheral, while the PS3 version is also compatible with the PlayStation Move sharp shooter and the Wii version with the Wii Zapper.
Activision has collaborated with Starlight Runner Entertainment in order to give the Men In Black 3's transmedia offerings a "single voice."
