Messi Ditches PES, Jumps Into Bed With FIFA

Argentina's petite football wizard, Lionel Messi, who graced the cover of Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer series for a number of years, has just signed up with EA Sports. Upon signing a big, fat multi-year contract, Mesi will now become the global face of the FIFA brand, starting with FIFA Street in March.

'Our FIFA franchise is the number one selling sports videogame franchise in the world, and Lionel Messi is the number one player in the world, so this agreement is a true partnership of superstars,' said EA Sports' Vice President and GM of Football, Matt Bilbey. 'With Messi on our team we have the world's best and most exciting player to help EA Sports maintain its global leadership in the years ahead.'

Messi, of course, was absolutely stoked and, sitting comfortably upon his freshly earned mountain of gold and stroking a rare Pomeranian, said, 'I want to be part of the team behind the best sports football game in the world and be associated with the great EA Sports name. EA Sports is a brand that shares my values of creativity, excellence and social responsibility.'

There may not have been an actual mountain of gold or a Pomeranian. But there probably were...

Have you ever heard him speak English? Believe me there's no chance in hell that he said that without significant coaching/briefing.

He probably just signed a piece of paper that said, 'I, Lionel Messi, understand that by accepting this big bundle of cash I have in essence put my name to the following words...'
