The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is Konami's chance to introduce an entire generation of new gamers to an indelible experience they most likely missed out on, whilst re-introducing the older lot to an old friend. We can't wait, and neither can creator Hideo Kojima it seems, who's revealed re-recordings are underway on the HD remake.
"Re-recording for “MGS HD (MGS3)” in progress today," he declares via his official Twitter feed. "And the voice actors from MGS are here from the morning". It's not jaw-dropping news by any means, and pretty much expected considering the effort being put into upgrading the visuals, it's only right that the audio should be treated as such.
However, what version is Kojima referring to? Is it the Western copy, or the Japanese? And considering he makes specific mention to MGS 3 Snake Eater in the tweet - not simply the entire collection itself - maybe only the third game in the series is being re-recorded. Or maybe they're simply working backwards?
