We quite enjoyed Metro 2033 here at Dealspwn, and its no secret developer 4A Games is hard at work on the sequel, Metro 2034. However, that particularly imaginative title might be on the way out, with publisher THQ registering a number of URLs for a Metro 2033: Last Light. The domains in question - www.flashlight.com, www.metrolastlight.com and www.metro2033lastlight.com - appeared this past week, and it would appear THQ has wisely eschewed the not-so-different originally title in place of one you're not likely to confuse with the last.
Metro 2033 was yet another post-apocalyptic title - they're quite popular, don't you know - set in Moscow's underground rail system overrun with psychic mutants and bad electric generators. A decidedly atmospheric experience, Metro 2033 was a tense and often brutally unforgiving title, with developer 4A Games very capable at setting a scene but not quite so adapt at mining much enjoyment from it. We'll have more for you from Metro 2033: Last Light when it decides to show its grimy face. [Eurogamer]
