How do you get past the MG nests in Operation Guillotine?

Take down the first couple but then all of the marines get shot and I get pinned down? Tips anyone?

First two aren't a problem, as you say.
After those I advise staying near the bottom of the hill for a minute or so, picking enemies off at a bit of a distance rather than moving forward. You should see reinforcements move in from the left, above you. They'll draw some of the enemy fire and thin the enemy numbers down a bit*, making it easier for you to progress.
I stuck to the left side (up to the mg nest, then along the wall) as I worked my way up. Not sure if it's definitely easier that way, but it worked fine for me.

On my second playthrough (this time on easy instead of hard) I just ran up to everyone and shot 'em in the face with the shotty. Don't think you'll get much joy if you try that on anything other than easy, though ;)

*Not certain about the numbers thining down, tbh - they might be spawning up there.

As you progress round towards the left and up in the direction of the building (essentially doing a 'U') more Marines will join you, jumping over the bank at the U's curve. Enemies will keep spawning two at a time from the ramp up to the building, though so the trick is to keep pressing onwards, take out the first batch, use the backup Marines as cannon fodder and work your way to the ramp. I died several times over before figuring that out.
