MGS V Will Include New Metal Gear Online Multiplayer

Also, Troy Baker Will Voice Ocelot

Kojima Productions are developing a brand new version of Metal Gear Online, which will be included with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Though you probably don't care just yet, because your eyes are being inexorably drawn to Troy Baker and desperately wishing that you were hugging Hideo instead. Just me? Hmm.

Hideo Kojima confirmed the news to CVG. “Yes, we plan on creating Metal Gear Online," he said. "Multiplayer right now is being created at our LA studio as well as us. We’re working closely to create a vast multiplayer for all the fans.”

Kojima Productions L.A. was set up to foster new talent and provide a fresh perspective, announced during an event at GDC earlier this year. We expect some shiny, stealthy gameplay from the next generation of Metal Gear multiplayer.

In other news, Kojima also confirmed that Troy Baker (Booker DeWitt, Kanji Tatsumi and Arkham Origin's Joker amongst dozens more gaming and anime roles) will play Ocelot, which is good to know.

Am I the only one that thinks Kojima looks mighty uncomfortable being hugged by Troy?
