Microsoft Set To Announce Major First Party Titles This Week

It's no secret that Microsoft are set to hold a pre-GDC press conference this week, but recent news from their PR guru suggests that we might be in store for several massive first party reveals.

In his recent Podcast, Larry 'Major Nelson' Hyrb states that the briefing will be used to make a number of announcements that will make Xbox 360 fans "really happy."

We are having an invite-only press event that we're going to have some cool news that I'm not quite fully briefed on, but we have a lot of news that we're going to be announcing. Just telling you guys, you're going to be really happy when you hear all the news, that's all I can say.

Put simply, it's high time for Microsoft to reveal some first party titles... but speculation is rife on what exactly they're planning to unveil. Naturally 343 Industries' long-rumoured remake of Halo: Combat Evolved is first on our wishlist, but Crytek's Kingdom, Forza 4 and even the Kinect-enabled Gears title may also be getting a full blowout. Naturally we'll keep our eye on Frisco later this week. And wear flowers in our hair.

What do you want to see from Microsoft over this coming year? Have your say in the comments!
