Microsoft: Xbox One Has The Best Launch Line-Up "In The History Of Consoles"

Them's fighting words.

Microsoft's Phil Harrison told CVG that Xbox One will bring a seriously games lineup to the table, and certainly didn't beat around the bush while doing so.

"Ultimately it's the games that make Xbox One stand out, and we have the best line-up of games - we think - in the history of consoles," he said.

"We clearly have strong exclusive games, and we have partnered with EA to bring FIFA to Europe in a very meaningful way. Football in Europe is the sport, and in some countries it's the religion. I think FIFA Ultimate Team is going to be huge."

Harrison also pointed to some of the major third party games offering exclusive content or favouring the Xbox One, such as EA's Titanfall and the aforementioned FIFA 14. "The reason we do our own studio investments and investments with third-party publishers is very simple - we want to make sure the best games are on Xbox," he continued.

"We want to make sure the best developers bring their creativity to our platform."

It's high time that we link to the full confirmed list of Xbox One launch titles, then, and perhaps the PS4's 2013 offering for flavour. Then run away. I'm staying well clear of this one - it's your opinion that ultimately matters.

In all honesty there isn't a game on either console that would persuade me to buy, i'm not saying that they're bad by any means but it'll take something much more interesting to drag me in either direction.

I hate to say it but I'm really thinking about cancelling my PS4 preorder and getting an Xbone instead. The launch games are just more appealing to me than the Sony exclusives. I'll probably end up buying a PS4 later next year...

Same here, Just pre ordered the Xbox One with free Fifa14.

I just wish they'd do away with the whole 'exclusive' thing. I guess they win, however, because it means I'd have to end up buying both consoles.

I'd still rather have a PS4... If only because I'm so fed up so little works on my 360 without paying for gold! Stuff like webbrowsing, iplayer etc is free on everything else I own!

I know you'll need PS+ to game online with the PS4 but at least with the free games you feel like you get value out if it.

Well that is nice to know. I don't think I have been less interested in a launch line up since the Sega 32X.

However it is good of Microsoft to tell us that.

Although when two of these awesome launch titles are Peggle 2 and Zumba Fitness: World Party or 1/4 of the launch titles are just "Game X" 2014 it could be complete and utter b*llocks.

I can't think of a singe game that is going to launch that I am interested in that isn't going to be out for the PS3/360 as well, with just a few less bells and whistles and certainly not £500 (price of console + game) more game.
