Mighty Switch Force HD Aims To Be Wii U Launch Title

Puzzle-platformer Mighty Switch Force, one of the few standout original gems on the 3DS eShop, will be available on the Wii U at launch. The HD version will include redrawn artwork and potentially new content when it releases on the Wii U's downloadable marketplace.

WayForward's Matt Bozon spilled the beans in an interview with Nintendo Power Magazine, wherein he stated that the 2D-centric studio has "really enjoyed developing for Nintendo's download services and really want to be there for the Wii U launch."

Mighty Switch Force HD will reportedly feature updated artwork similar to the Wii version of A Boy and His Blob, along with the 'bonus incidents' DLC pack previously released for 3DS. If time permits, new content may also be added. Gamepad play support will make an appearance, just in case there's something good on telly. [GoNintendo]

It's great to see that smaller, boutique titles are already being confirmed for the Wii U. More, please.
