Minecraft Xbox 360 Discs Coming This June

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is coming to a UK store near you this June as Mojang and Microsoft have announced that the Minecraft experience will soon be available to buy in-store on disc across the UK, exclusively for Xbox 360.

Microsoft pinged over a statement this morning confirming that the hard copy release will hit shelves on June 28th and include a free 48-hour trial of Xbox LIVE Gold.

The game is currently priced at 1600 Microsoft Points, which equates to around £12-13, but it'll be interesting to see how the boxed release price fluctuates, as it might well prove the cheaper option given time.

While it may well be fine, I just couldn't play anything but the PC version. The quality and quantity of mods (and texture packs) is amazing, and things like Rei's minimap are indispensable for any reasonable big world. Why Mojang haven't officially incorporated Rei's is beyond me.

Does the 360 version have any sort of modding available?
