Hooray! Mission accomplished! And about bloody time too.
After more than a year of tough negotiations, haggling, bickering and arguments over Xbox Live Gold's restrictive nature, the BBC and Microsoft have finally seen eye-to-eye and released the iPlayer app on Xbox One. You can grab it in the app section on the store, or search on SmartGlass. There's a small FAQ on-site if you want to know more.
Billed as an "all-in-one" entertainment device, the Xbox One's lack of iPlayer was a bit of an embarrassment to say the least, especially seeing as Sony consoles offered it at launch. We're thrilled that it's finally up and running, even if we've probably missed all the Bake Off.
