Modern Warfare 3 Storms In On 8th November 2011

Well, Black Ops has been out for a while now, and it provided a nice break from the Modern Warfare series, but the distraction's well and truly over! Luckily, little bits and pieces have been dropping here and there about Modern Warfare 3, and we can tell you that it'll be out on 8th November 2011, at which point you can expect to be taken on another adrenaline fuelled thrill ride.

Lets be honest, when it comes to action games, specifically Modern Warfare games, Infinity Ward have definitely given us two very special titles, so it's a good job that they're in the developer's chair once again along with Sledgehammer Games.

Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc. had this to say about the new instalment of the series:

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is by far the most epic Call Of Duty experience yet. The teams at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have worked tirelessly to create for the Call Of Duty player a scale that is unimaginable with a level of polish and creativity that will push the genre forward.

The passion and energy of our developers is reflected in everything about the title. From the innovative gameplay, to the cinematic intensity, to the most advanced multiplayer ever, Modern Warfare 3 will raise the bar for this already incredible franchise.

"Epic" is exactly the same word that I'd use after seeing the trailer, which certainly fired up my interest, especially when things moved to London and I got a glimpse of The Tube, but I'll stop there and let you find out more about the game in our upcoming first glance preview!

Finally, whilst Modern Warfare 3 hasn't received a rating yet, I'd put a pretty sizeable bet on it being slapped with an 18 certificate like Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops.

We'll bring you more news on this one when we have it!
