Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe £10.00 With Voucher @ Empire-Stores [PS3 Game]

The likes of Sub-Zero and Scorpion clash with Superman and Batman, in Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe, available from Empire-Stores for only £10 if you input the voucher code ZG312!

Priced for £25 on the site, sans voucher code, Empire-Stores’ deal for Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe, once cut to £10, is the cheapest around. Just remember to input the voucher code ZG312! Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe averaged 76/100 on MetaCritic, its mixed reception mitigated by 90+ scores from the likes of Gamers’ Hell, and even a perfect score from Giant Bomb.

So just how did the Mortal Kombat and DC Universes collide? Apparently, some magic media barrier, separating the video-game and comic-book franchises, collapsed and the pair spilt into each other’s arms. Dark Khan’s energy renders Superman’s vulnerable to magic, but also empowers the likes of the Joker. Mayhem ensues, as Dark Khan edges closer to resurrection.

The Mortal Kombat series was renowned for its gruesome fatalities, so their omission from DC Universe prompted much anger amongst fans. Fatalities remain, sans geysers of blood and torn-off limbs. As if to compensate, combatants’ clothes rip and split, although the powers that be thankfully imbue Superman’s underpants with reinforced titanium.

Several new additions to the Mortal Kombat gameplay include Free-Fall Kombat and Klose Kombat, Midway’s obsession with the letter ‘K’ bordering on fanatical. Free-Fall Kombat sees combatants plunge from lofty arenas, and engage in pseudo-combat in midair. Klose Kombat, meanwhile, zooms in to highlight the brutality and the ripped clothes. Arenas are now also destructible, with the floor collapsing and walls crumbling amid the thunderous blows.
