What the hell does this have to do with gaming??

The site's completely lost its identity lately. Lots of duplication of hukd deals and almost no journalism.
I'm guessing the site owners have cut funding.

Has long been my favourite site for game-related news, and I'm not quite ready to give up yet, but it's looking inevitable - I'm visiting less and less. :(

EDIT - for clarity, no offence is intended to Carl, Brendan, and the other site bloggers. I like the vast majority of the articles and reviews on here, and I appreciate a good deal being highlighted.
I place blame on whomever controls the purse-strings - and it's entirely possible it's not even their fault (after all, the site needs to turn a profit to be viable and if it wasn't profitable before then I can kind of understand their decision not to replace the full-time journos they lost in recent months).

Late historically I've not always agreed with your opinion on here however 100% behind you on this, the site has lost its identity massively since Jon left and its a real shame. Really hope it sorts itself out or its goodbye to the best gaming site there ever was

Make Carl senior editor, get more articles and reviews up and put it back to how it was

I can't comment on company policy, but I will ask that you hold faith in us for the time being. I think it's safe to say that losing Jon was a huge blow, and we've unfortunately lost Buzz (who has gone back to HUKD) as a blogger as well so, as you can imagine, Brendan and I are a little swamped.

That said, in terms of coverage, I have an exclusive WildStar F2P interview going live early tomorrow, and I should have my review for The Taken King sorted this week as well (our review copy was delayed, so our review was also set back as well :/)

I will say this - your support really does mean the world to us, and I hate seeing you all disappointed. Just, hold the line a little longer.

Or blame the Supermoon. That's my go-to excuse now.

Happy to hold it out but would rather have no content than non gaming content (films are one thing but kindles???)

Wild idea. In the meantime while Dealspwn HQ is sorting itself out why not throw articles out to the readers? Let them write them and submit for proof reading and sign off. Might even find some decent guys out there you could recruit

Appreciate the feedback fellas. Sadly our hands are tied with things like hiring or even taking on volunteers, but watch this space for Reader Articles making a comeback, Carl and I both want this to happen as it would be good to get some extra content on the site and could be a handy boost for anyone wanting to get into this racket.

Regarding the movie and kindle posts yesterday, that was my call. Just trying out a few things. Tech and movie content is appearing more and more on gaming sites nowadays as they're subjects many gamers are into. We're not planning on becoming a movie site by any means, but if we spot some ace deals that we think some of our readers may be interested in, we might post it. It's not going to take up much space at all, and will be easy to scroll past if you're not interested (that's why I put all the movie deals into a single roundup).

The Kindle and movie posts were fairly successful numbers wise yesterday, suggesting some of our readers don't mind them. Deal posts are an important part of keeping the site going and including a few film/tech deals seems like a much better alternative than flooding the site with aggressive ads that get in the way of reading posts, as we all know how frustrating that can be.

Non-Deal content has been harder to find time for of late with just Carl and myself running the site as I'm sure you can appreciate. Not to mention review 'playing time' is done 'off the clock' so to speak, so time is a factor too especially with so many games lately needing at least 30 hours.

As Carl said, we really appreciate the support and we'll endeavour to roll out some cracking features and reviews over the coming weeks as the year's biggest games arrive.
