NCsoft has announced that City of Heroes, Guild Wars and Lineage are all celebrating their anniversaries today with some new content, updates and other birthday treats.
City of Heroes - a game that's seen over 40 million superhuman friends and foes during its reign - is marking its seventh anniversary today with a half price sale on a bunch of item packs, including the (of course) topical Wedding pack, character transfers and renaming. Furthermore, there'll be a 'reactivation week' starting on May 3rd and running to the 10th, which will see that 'all accounts in good standing are activated for free' for the duration of the week.
Subscription-free MMORPG Guild Wars is also celebrating its birthday this week having fulfilled six popular years in the public domain. To celebrate, there'll be a host of games, tourneys and events running for the next week, with an anniversary update pending that will add high-res textures to towns, allow for mutual friends lists, hard mode quests and also add in a few birthday tonics to boot.
Finally, with the Lineage series celebrating its seventh birthday, NCsoft have announced a new expansion for Lineage II entitled 'The Goddess of Desctruction', promising that it will bring a 'sweeping change to the series that revolutionises core gameplay and offers vastly improved content throughout the game' with 30 new hunting grounds, 60 raid bosses and over 400 new weapons and other items.
