Itagaki & THQ Unveil Devil's Third
After leaving Techmo and founding Valhalla Games, Ninja Gaiden and DoA creator Tomonobu Itagaki has found another major paying gig... with THQ. See, we told you that they had something in the works! He's finally unveiled his latest title: Devil's Third: a gory third-person slasher/shooter with more bloody dismemberment than you can shake a severed arm at. It's looking slick, stylish and fluid... with bodily fluid liberally splashing all over the shop. Devil's Third will be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
This will also be great news for THQ, who have been forced to completely rebuild their developer stable and corporate ladder these last few months. Netting a major player like Itagaki will be a huge boost for their lineup.

Dante and Deadpool Revealed for Marvel vs Capcom 3
Marvel fans rejoice! Fan favourite Deadpool has been revealed as one of the new combatants to to star in Capcom's upcoming brawler Marvel vs Capcom 3. The 'merc with the mouth' tends to be aware of the fact that he's a fictional character- and we can't wait to see if his ability to break the fourth wall will factor into the gameplay. His katanas, guns and grenades certainly will, I'm sure.
But that's not all. Dante, the badass star of the Devil May Cry series, will also be making an appearance. His speed, skill and brutal swordplay should blend beautifully into the mix.
These two heroes were unveiled in an extended E3 trailer- why not check it out at GameTrailers?

Killzone 3 Gameplay Trailer: Jetpacks and Neck Snaps
Guerrilla Games has released an E3 trailer for Killzone 3... and awesome doesn't quite cover it. It's refreshing to see a trailer that isn't full of CGI cutscene and renders (here's looking at you, Gears of War 3)- and frankly, there's a lot to see here.
First up, yes, we've gotten our first look at how the jetpack handles in combat situations. Two machineguns seem to make light work of Helghast infantry, and it also appears to be fairly maneuverable compared to most previous FPS efforts (Duke Nukem 3D was the first, if I recall). Contrasting with Halo Reach's offering, Killzone's jetpack appears to be a full-blown vehicle rather than an alternate method of locomotion.
Secondly, arctic conditions? Yes please. Most of us were bored stiff by grey wartorn cityscapes halfway through the original PS2 title, so it seems that Guerrilla are delivering on their promise of "diverse locales."
You know what? Just watch the hell (ghast) out of it. Let us know what you think in the comments! [GT]
