Telltale Games Tease Awesome Crossover

From Telltale's Quadruple Crossover to Bulletstorm's Quadruple Shotguns - News Roundup 28th August 2010

Telltale Games have taken a huge portfolio of hilarious catalogue under their wing. Lucasarts legends Guybrush Threepwood, Sam and Max and have joined the ranks of Homestar Runner and Strong Bad... but according to a new teaser trailer, Telltale may well be bringing several series together along with a couple of very surprising cameos.

Max's floppy ears and Strong Bad's boxing gloves are easily recognisable, but if I'm not much mistaken, that's Penny Arcade's Tycho on the left. And... the heavy from Team Fortress 2?

Before you get too excited, it's possible that this may just be advertising some sort of bundle pack that includes a selection of games from each series.

On the other hand, this could well be a dimension-hopping, fourth wall-breaking crossover of insane proportions. Now get excited.

Starcraft 2 Patch Adds 3D, Brings Balance

From Telltale's Quadruple Crossover to Bulletstorm's Quadruple Shotguns - News Roundup 28th August 2010

It's been a month since Starcraft 2 hit the shelves- and to celebrate, Blizzard have released patch 1.1 to take care of a few little details. NVIDIA 3D vision support has been enabled, and destructible rocks have been added to the map editor.

A slew of unit tweaks and nerfs have also come into play. Protoss Zealots and warpgates have had their build time significantly increased to avoid devastating Zealot rushes; and the Zerg Ultralisk does less damage against armour. Many Starcraft 2 players have been whining about the Terrans being overpowered (especially Zerg commanders who have real trouble breaching Terran siege lines)- and Blizzard seem to have taken this complaint to heart by nerfing a whole bunch of their mid to late game units. You can swot up on the full list of on the Starcraft 2 Community Blog... and moan about them here.

Hecaton and Quad Shotguns: Bulletstorm Dev Walkthrough

From Telltale's Quadruple Crossover to Bulletstorm's Quadruple Shotguns - News Roundup 28th August 2010

We were psyched in May. We were psyched at E3. We were psyched at the Gamescom EA press conference. And thanks to a developer walkthrough of the Gamescom 2010 demo, we're psyched right now.

Bulletstorm is going to be absolutely ridiculous and we can't wait to be a part of it. As producer Tanya Jessen will explain: four-barrelled shotguns, enormous bosses and hilarious kill combos are going to provide a breath of fresh air from all the gritty cover shooting we've been doing recently. The walkthrough explains a fair few more details about the Burnouts and Cliffy B's desire to shoehorn a quad shotgun into the Unreal franchise.
