Next-Gen vs. Current-Gen: Destiny Beta Comparison

So, does Destiny warrant a next-gen console purchase? It certainly looks better on PS4 out of all four consoles we tried, but does it warrant that £300-400 upgrade? You know what... we're not actually that certain it does.

The video above takes a little look at the PS4 and Xbox 360 versions of the Destiny beta and places them side by side for you to judge.

I don't understand this article at all. It looks leagues ahead in terms of quality on the PS4 (compared to the 360 anyway as I've tried both betas).

No game is worth a "£300-£400" upgrade but then again who buys a console to play one game and one game only?

But is this game another reason to finally go out and spend that money if you have been deliberating whether to finally make the jump or not? I think so.

Beta is open to all on XBLive and the PS Network.

Should the title not be Current-Gen vs Last-Gen?

Lol...yeah, I must apologise, I've been flitting between current-gen, next-gen, and new-gen these past few months. On a personal level, I still don't feel as though we've properly made the jump yet as an industry (even though I have 2 out of the 3 new/current/next-gen boxes), but you're right.

Going forwards, I'll endeavour to enforce correct generational terminology.

The difference is not as apparent as it should be. Colour saturation is higher on the XB but can be relieved somewhat. The different won;t be noticeable once you start playing and absolutely not worth buying a new console for and since it's available on the 360, it;s not the game which should make people switch. Instead I'll be getting two copies for the 360 so I might play my son and save thee change, get a PS3 and Persona 5 when that comes out.
